The Kingston MobileLite G4 (Generation 4) comes in the typical nefarious sealed blister pack.
Featuring Support for the latest and fastest SD formats, which include, SDHC, SDXC, UHS-II and microSD/SDHC/SDXC, UHS-I.
Dimensions for the MobileLite are as follows: 52 x 33 x 9mm.
Featuring both micro and full size SD slots, a metal enclosure, the MobileLite G4's design and build quality are very pleasing, giving it a nice solid feel and weight.
USB3 is on tap to leverage the latest SD card speeds.
UHS-I has a bus interface speed of up to 104 MB/s.
UHS-II Class 3 memory cards have a bus speed of up to 312MB/s
As with all USB3 devices, backward compatibility with USB2 is a given.
Another great feature of the MobileLite G4 is the ability to read both card slots at the same time, giving you the flexibility to move files between cards quickly.
This is particularly handy when upgrading one card to another, without first having to transfer files to the PC.
Unfortunately, no power or activity LED is provided, also during use, it was noted that the MobileLite was slightly warm to the touch.
The individual SD cards appear as independent drives on the user's computer.
Testing...It seems unfair to benchmark the MobileLite G4, as I do not have any high speed (45MB/s upwards) SD cards to show the full USB3 potential.
The tests below, were based on both slots being benchmarked at once, holding Class 10 SD/MicroSD cards with a 10 MB/s minimum performance.
